What is printed fabric

2020-12-16

Recently, a batch of beloved "all cotton twill printed fabrics" have been launched on the China Zhili Cotton Market, attracting the attention of many clothing manufacturers due to their unique advantages such as soft feel, beautiful appearance, strong fastness, and excellent texture. Printed fabrics include: all cotton printed fabrics, chemical fiber dyed fabrics, chemical fiber printed fabrics, women's clothing fabrics, and other high-end fabrics.

The process principle of printed fabric is to first print the color paste of water-soluble reactive dyes into transfer printing paper, and then apply a certain pressure to the fabric pre-treatment and transfer printing paper. The pre-treatment liquid carried by the fabric dissolves the color paste on the transfer printing paper. Under certain pressure, due to the greater affinity of dyes for fabrics compared to transfer paper, the dyes transfer to the fabric and enter the gaps of the fabric, forming the finished product after being washed with fixed color water.

Among printed fabrics, blue printed fabric is the most famous, as it is a traditional textile printing and dyeing handicraft in China. The entire printing and dyeing process of blue printed fabric adopts manual operation, with ice patterns of dry and cracked gray embedded in the clear blue and white patterns. This irregular ice pattern, fresh and elegant, naturally beautiful, is known as the soul of manual printing and dyeing, which cannot be achieved by any mechanical printing and dyeing.

Printed fabrics can be classified into general and professional. Universal patterned fabric can be printed and dyed into pieces, and its materials can be cut and sewn into various clothes, bedding, bed sheets, etc. Specialized patterned fabrics are generally designed and dyed according to specific needs, and each fabric is a product, such as bags, square scarves, door curtains, pillowcases, etc. Due to the different applicability and functions of the two types of patterned fabrics, their patterns and designs are not the same.
